Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 15, 2026

ImagePal is built on a simple principle: the fastest, most private way to process an image is to never upload it in the first place. This page explains exactly how that works and what data, if any, we handle.

The short version

How ImagePal protects your privacy

Images stay on your device

Every image you drop into ImagePal is loaded, decoded, and processed in your browser's memory. The file bytes never travel to a server — not ours, not anyone else's.

No uploads, ever

Unlike most online image tools, ImagePal makes zero network requests with your image data. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's DevTools Network tab while using the site and watch — you'll see nothing.

No accounts, no logins

We don't ask for an email address, a password, or any identifying information. You can use every feature anonymously.

No tracking cookies

We don't set advertising or profiling cookies. No third-party trackers are embedded on the page.

Cookieless analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (including its Real User Monitoring beacon) to count anonymous page views and measure page performance. It sets no cookies, does no fingerprinting, and never sees the images you process.

Open by design

The processing runs entirely client-side, so the behavior is visible in the code your browser downloads. There's nothing for us to hide.

What data we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit the contents of your images, their filenames, their dimensions, or their metadata. We do not maintain a log of files you have processed. We do not build a profile of you as a user. Because these operations happen inside your browser, the information simply never reaches us.

What data may be collected

Like most websites, our web server receives standard HTTP request information (IP address, browser user agent, referring page) when a page loads. This is used to serve the site and is not tied to the images you process.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages are most useful and Cloudflare Real User Monitoring (RUM) to measure real-world page performance (load time, Core Web Vitals). Both are cookieless, do not fingerprint visitors, and report only aggregate, anonymous metrics. RUM adds a small JavaScript beacon that sends timing data — no image data, no personal identifiers.

Third-party services

ImagePal is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which also provides our cookieless Web Analytics and Real User Monitoring. That's the only third party involved in serving the site. No third party ever receives your image data.

Children's privacy

ImagePal is suitable for general audiences. Because we do not collect personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the tools we use or in applicable law. The core commitment — your images stay on your device — will not change. Any update will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Privacy FAQ

Are my images uploaded to your servers?
No. All image processing — compression, format conversion, resizing — happens in your browser using Web APIs like Canvas, OffscreenCanvas, and Web Workers. Your image bytes never leave your device.
How can I verify this?
Open your browser's developer tools (F12), switch to the Network tab, and use any of the tools. You will see no requests carrying your image data. You can also disconnect from the internet after loading the page — everything continues to work.
Do you use cookies?
No. We do not set advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics provider (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is cookieless by design — it measures aggregate traffic and page performance without storing anything in your browser.
Do you collect personal information?
No. ImagePal does not require an account, an email, or any personal information. We do not maintain user profiles.
What about the images I download?
Downloads are generated locally in your browser and saved through your browser's normal download flow. ImagePal has no record that a download ever occurred.
Who should I contact with privacy questions?
If you have questions about how ImagePal handles data, you can reach out via the About page. We take privacy questions seriously and respond promptly.
